Job Description
Primary Duties:
- Experiment with sound effects and synthesis to create and apply the best sound design to projects
- Work with music stems to re-edit, enhance and modify the audio for trailers and videos
- Complete mixes (voice, music and sound effects) for all video content
- Master and optimise audio for different distribution platforms
- Q.C. all mixes before delivery – maintaining technical and creative standards
- Build and organise the company’s sound effects library
Secondary Duties:
- Other ad-hoc duties to assist your supervisor or the project team
Learning Outcomes and Objectives:
- Understand the importance of sound & music in animation & visual media
- Learn the workflow of audio post production in an animation studio
- Learning Industry standard for sound design, voiceover recording, music editing, mixing & mastering
- Learn how to story-tell through sound & music
- Improved efficiency in time management when working on client projects
- Emerge more disciplined in keeping audio assets, mixes & masters organized
Requirements
- Currently pursuing studies in Sound Design, Audio Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Have the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure while dealing with scheduling deadlines, managing multiple projects and submitting them on time.
- Able to maintain an efficient workflow and keep audio stems and foley samples on DAW organised.
- Have some knowledge in basic music production, composition and arrangement.
- Good team player and a confident speaker, effective at communicating in big teams and joining creative discussions with project members
