Staff members leaving the venue after 10:30 PM will receive SGD 35/person to cover transport fees. During the period of 9-11 October, while the Singapore Grand Prix is ongoing, all staff will receive SGD 65/day per person to cover transport fees.

Job Description

Pearl Lam Projects is hiring Gallery Assistants for our newly-opening space in Singapore.

The Gallery Assistant will support the daily operations of Pearl Lam Projects, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment for visitors. This full-time, on-site role is based in Singapore and includes:

  • Greeting guests, providing exhibition information, and answering inquiries in a courteous and knowledgeable manner
  • Assisting with gallery administration tasks such as maintaining records, handling correspondence, coordinating appointments, and supporting event logistics
  • Monitoring exhibition spaces, supporting installation and deinstallation, and monitoring the condition of artworks
  • Coordinating vendor services such as lighting, cleaning, and security
  • Collaborating with the team on sales support, client follow-up, and basic inventory management

The role works closely with gallery sales staff to uphold high standards of customer service and contribute to a positive visitor experience.

 

 

Requirements

Candidates should possess:

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese is a must; additional language skills are advantageous
  • Professional appearance and excellent interpersonal skills; good manners essential for interacting with visitors, artists, and partners
  • Proficiency in standard office software and comfortable learning gallery management tools
  • Ability to work within gallery hours (11:00 to 23:00, Monday to Sunday): candidates must be willing to work night shifts, encompassing both regular schedules and irregular shift patterns
  • Experience in art galleries or related environments is preferred but not mandatory
  • Right of work in Singapore; immediate availability is highly desirable
