Who We Are

WHO WE ARE

Sloth Creatives is a boutique studio in Singapore built on one belief: imperfect is true storytelling. We invite people to be real in all their unique, absurd, and effortless ways, capturing the candid, the wild, and the sweet chaos of the moments that matter. We shoot on analog film because it slows everyone down and pulls something honest out of the room.

What began as a wedding studio for the unconventional has grown into a house of brands under Northstar. Our creatives now move between weddings, brand films, and lifestyle work, as well as our own ventures like Still Hour, our matcha and slow living drinks brand, and Slow Frames, our analog photography and framing studio. We have just settled into a new office we are proud of, and we are building an in house series that documents how we create, work, and grow.

If you want to make more than wedding films, you are in the right place.

Job Description

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a creative filmmaker who genuinely loves films, photography, and storytelling. Someone who gets excited about taking a random idea, making a moodboard for ordinary ideas and everyday stories, turning it into a shoot, and somehow ending up with something great. You’ll work across weddings, engagement shoots, styled shoots, lifestyle, branding, social content, and our own projects.

YOU WILL

  1. Conceptualise and craft stories for our couples and brands
  2. Build moodboards, treatments and storyboards
  3. Shoot and edit from start to finish
  4. Work across weddings, engagements, styled shoots, lifestyle and branding
  5. Make content for social media and our in-house series
  6. Learn and shoot analog formats including 120, 35mm, Super 8 and 16mm
  7. Direct, produce and help run shoots
  8. Work closely with the team from the first idea to the final frame
  9. Help build new brands, systems and creative ventures
  10. Explore new ideas and creative opportunities with us

We’re a small team, so the role isn’t particularly interested in staying inside a job description. One week you might be filming a wedding. The next, you’re helping build a new drink brand, shooting something on 16mm, or figuring out how we’re going to make an idea we’ve never tried before actually work. That’s kind of the fun.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re less interested in a perfect CV and more interested in someone with taste, curiosity and initiative. You might be a good fit if you:

  1. Genuinely love photography, filmmaking and storytelling
  2. Are comfortable with cameras and editing tools, especially Adobe Premiere Pro
  3. Have a good eye for composition, design and branding
  4. Understand social media and what makes people stop scrolling
  5. Are curious about analog, different creative mediums and new ways of making things
  6. Communicate well and enjoy working with people
  7. Learn quickly and aren’t afraid to figure things out
  8. Can juggle multiple projects without completely losing the plot
  9. Have strong English
  10. Are comfortable working weekends (five-day work week)
  11. Care about the work, but don’t take yourself too seriously

Fresh graduates are welcome. If you don’t know everything yet but have a strong creative instinct and want to get very good at this, we’d still like to hear from you.

HOW IT WORKS

We start with an internship, with the duration depending on your experience, then convert to full-time. The intention isn’t to keep you as an intern forever. We want to find someone who can grow with us and eventually take ownership of their own work. You’ll be treated as a creative with a voice, not just a pair of hands. You’ll get thrown into real shoots, real projects, real deadlines and, occasionally, completely unnecessary creative rabbit holes. There will be weddings. There will be analog cameras. There will be a lot of Premiere. There will probably be some questionable ideas that somehow turn out to be our favourite work. Come build the next chapter with us.
