We’re looking for freelance Business Development Partners who know how to open doors, start conversations and connect us with businesses which could benefit from what we do.
OUR CORE OFFERINGS
These currently include:
AEO / GEO & AI Discoverability
Helping brands become more visible and authoritative across traditional and AI-driven search — from Google to ChatGPT and other emerging discovery platforms.
Social Content & AI-Enabled Marketing
Strategy, creative development and content creation, including helping businesses make smarter use of emerging AI content creation and marketing tools without sacrificing brand quality or strategic thinking.
Website & User Experience
Strategy, content, UX and design that help businesses communicate more clearly, make their products easier to understand and turn more visitors into customers.
Beyond these core services, we also tackle broader brand, creative and marketing challenges where we believe we can make a meaningful commercial difference.
WHO WE WANT TO MEET
Our immediate focus is on established SMEs and mid-sized brands in Singapore’s home & living ecosystem — including:
- Home appliances
- Furniture & furnishings
- Interior and renovation brands
- Building materials and surfaces
- Kitchen & bathroom
- Lighting
- Home technology
- Property-related products and services
Think established businesses with the scale and ambition to invest seriously in marketing, but without the budgets or internal resources of major multinational brands.
We’re open to opportunities beyond Home & Living where there’s a strong fit.
YOUR ROLE
This isn’t a traditional account-servicing position. Your primary job is to help us find and win good clients. That could mean:
- Identifying suitable businesses and decision-makers
- Leveraging your existing network and relationships
- Making introductions and opening conversations
- Prospecting and reaching out to potential clients
- Understanding their immediate business and marketing challenges
- Spotting opportunities where Yellow-ish can genuinely help
- Setting up meetings and helping move opportunities towards a decision
- Working with us on proposals and pitches where appropriate
- Maintaining relationships that could lead to further opportunities
You won’t be expected to develop creative solutions. Once there’s a genuine opportunity, you’ll have direct access to the founders to develop the strategy, proposal and pitch together.
WHO THIS COULD FIT
You might be:
- A freelance account director / account manager with a strong network
- A former agency suit who still knows plenty of clients
- A marketer between full-time roles
- An independent business development professional
- A consultant already working with SMEs
- Someone from the home & living industry with strong commercial relationships
Agency experience is useful, but not essential.
What’s more important is that you can speak comfortably with business owners and senior marketers, understand commercial problems, and know the difference between generating a lead and simply forwarding someone’s contact details.
HOW YOU’LL BE PAID
This is a commission-based freelance partnership with no fixed retainer. For clients you originate:
15% of collected project revenue from the initial engagement
plus
10% of collected revenue from subsequent engagements with that client within the first 12 months.
Commission applies to eligible Yellow-ish professional fees and is paid within 30 days after payment has been received from the client. GST and agreed third-party/pass-through costs are excluded from the commission calculation.
For particularly large or unusual opportunities, commercial arrangements may be agreed separately before the proposal is submitted.
