Job Description

About the Role

As Content Producer Intern, you’ll work closely with Bandwagon’s Founder & CEO to identify and tell interesting stories from across the business.

You’ll help transform campaigns, business lessons, industry insights, events and behind-the-scenes moments into engaging social content.

This is not a traditional marketing internship where you’re simply given posts to execute.

We want someone who thinks like a creator. You’ll be encouraged to contribute ideas, spot content opportunities, experiment with new formats and help shape what we produce.

What You’ll Do

1. Content Strategy & Ideation

  • You’ll help plan and develop our content pipeline by:
    • Brainstorming fresh content ideas every week.
    • Identifying stories worth telling from Bandwagon’s work.
    • Turning one campaign, project or experience into multiple pieces of content.
    • Researching social and creator trends and recommending formats we can adapt.
    • Maintaining a shared content bank of ideas.
    • Proactively identifying content opportunities from campaigns, events, meetings and day-to-day happenings.

2. Scriptwriting & Story Development

  • You’ll help turn ideas into compelling stories by:
    • Developing strong hooks and opening angles.
    • Drafting talking points and short-form scripts.
    • Helping structure content to maintain audience attention.
    • Suggesting supporting visuals, screenshots and B-roll.
    • Helping maintain an authentic voice rather than making content feel overly corporate.

3. Filming & Production

  • You’ll help capture engaging content featuring our Founder and other Bandwagon team members. This includes:
    • Filming short-form content.
    • Setting up cameras, lighting and microphones where required.
    • Recommending suitable filming locations and setups.
    • Directing simple shoots to achieve natural, engaging delivery.
    • Capturing behind-the-scenes footage and B-roll.
    • Maintaining consistent production quality.

4. Video & Content Editing

  • You’ll turn raw footage and ideas into social-first content. This includes:
    • Editing videos with strong pacing.
    • Adding captions and simple motion graphics.
    • Using punch-ins, punch-outs, dynamic zooms and other editing techniques where appropriate.
    • Incorporating images, campaign visuals, screenshots and screen recordings.
    • Sourcing suitable music and sound effects.
    • Creating thumbnails and covers.
    • Creating image carousel posts where the story is better suited to a visual format.
    • Repurposing one recording, shoot or campaign into multiple pieces of content.

5. Publishing & Social Media

  • You’ll help manage content across:
    • Instagram
    • TikTok
    • LinkedIn
    • YouTube Shorts
    • Facebook
    • X
  •  This includes:
    • Scheduling and publishing content.
    • Writing captions.
    • Optimising titles, copy and hashtags where appropriate.
    • Maintaining a consistent publishing cadence.
    • Monitoring comments and identifying conversations or opportunities worth responding to.

6. Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • We want to continuously learn what works. You’ll help:
    • Monitor views, engagement, retention and other relevant metrics.
    • Identify successful topics, hooks and formats.
    • Recommend improvements based on performance.
    • Prepare simple monthly content insights.
    • Experiment with new formats and creative approaches.
  •  Types of Content You’ll Work On, may include:
    • Behind-the-scenes of Bandwagon campaigns and projects.
    • Stories behind our work with brands and artists.
    • Entrepreneurship and building a business.
    • Music industry insights.
    • Concert promotion and live entertainment.
    • Marketing and campaign breakdowns.
    • Founder perspectives and opinions.
    • AI and technology in entertainment.
    • Company culture.
    • Event and concert content.
    • Day-in-the-life content.
    • Industry trends and commentary.
    • Q&As.
    • Speaking engagements.
    • Interviews and collaborations.

How We Work

We believe great content comes from thoughtful planning rather than constant ad hoc filming.

Where possible, we batch content production. Rather than repeatedly setting up to film one piece of content at a time, we’ll plan dedicated filming sessions where multiple ideas can be scripted and captured together.

A productive shoot should generate a library of footage that can be edited, repurposed and published over the following days or weeks.

This reduces unnecessary setup and travel for everyone involved while allowing us to maintain a consistent content pipeline.

The goal isn’t simply to create more content. It’s to create better content, more efficiently.

Expected Output

The focus is on quality, consistency and continuous improvement.

Typical expectations include:

  • 1 to 5 high-quality short-form videos and/or image carousel posts each week.
  • Weekly content planning and idea generation.
  • Consistent publishing across relevant platforms.
  • Maintaining a healthy backlog of upcoming content.
  • Repurposing filming sessions and campaigns into multiple content formats.
  • Reviewing performance and using those learnings to improve future content.
  • The complexity of content will vary, so we don’t expect every week to look exactly the same.

Working Arrangement

This is a full-time internship, five days per week.

As Bandwagon operates in the music and entertainment industry, there may occasionally be shoots, concerts, events or other content opportunities that take place in the evenings or on weekends.

Where interns are required to work on weekends, time off in lieu will be provided.
