About the role

Do you love the moment music transforms a room?

Vocalise has spent eighteen years building live music for weddings, corporate events and concerts. What makes us different is that we don’t hand clients a list of musicians to choose from — we listen to the occasion they’re imagining, and build the act around it.

This internship sits right at the start of that. Every week, couples write in with a date and a feeling they’re chasing, and companies call about galas and dinners. You’ll be working alongside our Director to make sure every one of them is looked after — nothing missed, nobody left waiting.

It’s a five-month internship, with a path to a paid full-time role for the right person.

What you’ll be doing

• Being first to every new enquiry — logging it, gathering the details we need, and drafting a warm first reply for our Director to review
• Following up with clients who are still deciding, so no one falls through the cracks
• Helping put proposals together, learning how we match an act to an occasion
• Keeping our pipeline accurate and up to date
• Joining us on site at events, including some evenings and weekends, and seeing how it all comes together on the night
• Helping out with office admin along the way

What we’re hoping you’ll bring

• You’re responsive. Clients remember the agency that got back to them quickly and thoughtfully, and that instinct matters more here than experience does
• You follow things through, and you notice when something’s gone quiet
• You’re organised enough to keep track of a lot of conversations at once
• You’re happy working some evenings and weekends. Most weddings fall on weekends, and corporate events run into the evening
• An interest in business, marketing, events, arts management or communications. A love of music helps too, though you certainly don’t need to be a musician
• Students and fresh graduates with a diploma or degree are very welcome

What you’ll gain

• Real client conversations from early on, with someone reviewing your work before it goes out
• A clear path: as you grow into it, you’ll take on your own enquiries — and for the right person, that becomes a paid full-time role at the end
