Job Description
- We are looking for a highly motivated and imaginative Womenswear Designer to join MONOLOQ’s womenswear team. This role suits a forward-thinking creative with strong technical skills, digital fluency, and a strong aesthetic alignment with our minimalist, contemporary ethos.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design process from initial concept to final styling, ensuring creative cohesion and timely execution across collections.
- Design cohesive womenswear collections across key product categories.
- Develop detailed tech packs including specifications, measurements, and BOMs for factory handover.
- Conduct trend, colour, and market research to inform seasonal design direction.
- Communicate and collaborate closely with China-based offices and production teams on development, fittings, and execution.
- Apply pattern drafting or draping skills where required for prototyping and small-run development.
- Manage design timelines from concept through final prototype in line with the design calendar.
- Contribute to campaign styling, lookbook development, and visual storytelling.
- Work independently while collaborating effectively within a fast-paced team environment.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Fashion Design with 3–5 years’ experience in contemporary womenswear.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating refined taste, design maturity, and creative versatility is essential.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; strong understanding of garment construction.
Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills. - Knowledge of digital marketing or video editing is an advantage.
- Ability to utilise AI tools (e.g. Midjourney, Runway ML, ChatGPT) for ideation, visual development, or moodboard enhancement is a plus.
