Who We Are
Job Description
About the Role:
STPI is expanding its creative and content teams as we enter an exciting chapter of growth. As part of this, we’re seeking a driven and creative Multimedia Producer to craft compelling video and photo stories about our artist’s residencies and exhibitions, as well as to document our work for our archives. This role suits someone with a knack for visual storytelling, a passion for contemporary culture, and the technical expertise to bring creative ideas to life across formats.
Overall Job Objectives:
- Create compelling photo and video assets—with an emphasis on social-first formats—that tell stories and build the STPI brand, treating digital platforms as extensions of our curatorial practice as well as for marketing purposes.
- Manage photography and videography needs for STPI, including planning, capture, post-production and archival delivery for artist residencies, exhibitions, special projects, public programmes and ad-hoc events.
Core Responsibilities:
Documentation (photo & video)
- Document the progression of artists’ projects during residencies with regular photo and video updates.
- Capture artwork creation processes and Workshop activities for archival and storytelling use.
- Create photography assets for the website, across programmes, artists’ pages, and print_screen editorial.
Content and Social Media Production
- Collaborate with the Content and Marketing teams to develop concepts and storyboards for campaigns and platform-specific content.
- Produce short-form and long-form video assets (reels, shorts, interviews, behind-the-scenes) optimised for social platforms.
- Support A/B testing of creative formats and iterate on content based on performance insights and team feedback.
Post-production and Asset Management
- Maintain and organise STPI’s image and video archive for accurate, searchable retrieval across departments.
- Ensure files meet STPI’s metadata, naming and storage standards; manage backups and version control.
- Edit photo and video to professional standards (color grading, audio mixing, motion graphics when required).
- Deliver final assets in multiple sizes and formats for web, social, press and internal use.
Administrative
- Oversee inventory, care, and routine maintenance of photography and videography equipment.
- Plan and manage timelines, shoot schedules, and logistics for all in-house photography and videography projects.
Qualifications and experience:
- Diploma/degree in Film, Photography, Multimedia, Visual Arts, Communications or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years in photography/videography; experience in cultural or brand agency sector preferred.
- Basic motion-graphics/subtitling skills desirable; familiar with codecs, exports and multi-platform delivery.
- Clear communicator and collaborative team player.
- Meticulous, organised, able to manage shoots, schedules and meet deadlines under pressure.
