Job Description
The Role
You’ll be the backbone of our physical operations — handling fulfilment, inventory, and in-person retail experiences with care and precision. This is a hands-on role that requires someone who takes pride in the details: someone gentle with product, meticulous with organisation, and instinctively drawn to how things look and feel in a space.
Roles & Responsibilities
Fulfilment & Orders
- Pack and process orders accurately, handling each piece with care
- Coordinate dispatch and ensure timely delivery
Customer Support
- Respond to customer enquiries via email and DMs in a clear and professional manner
- Process returns and exchanges promptly and accurately
Inventory Management
- Conduct regular stocktakes and maintain accurate records
- Label, fold, and organise stock in the studio — silk is delicate and requires a gentle hand and patience to fold neatly and consistently
- Assist with stock replenishment at stores
Retail & Events Display
- Assist with product displays in the studio, at consignment stores, and at events
- Help set up and style product arrangements that reflect the SILK STORIES aesthetic
- Maintain displays throughout events and retail touchpoints so they remain polished and on-brand
- Support setup and operations at pop-ups and events
What We’re Looking For
- Organised and meticulous — you notice when things are off, and you fix it without being asked
- Gentle and patient with product — you understand that silk is delicate and treat it accordingly
- An eye for how things look — you care about presentation and have a natural instinct for tidiness and visual arrangement
- Able to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision
- Comfortable with physical tasks — folding, packing, moving stock, setting up displays
- Clear and professional written communicator
- Positive attitude and genuinely willing to learn
- Flexible availability, including occasional weekends for events
- Prior experience in retail, visual merchandising, or operations is a plus, but not required
Working Arrangement
- 2–4 days per week, flexible hours
- Additional hours during events and new launches
