Role Overview
The Junior Sound Designer is an entry-level role focused on learning professional audio post-production workflows while supporting the sound team. This role provides hands-on exposure to real projects under guidance and mentorship, helping to create high-quality sound design for video, animation, interactive media, and other audiovisual content.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with sound editing, asset preparation, and session organization.
- Support senior team members with basic sound design tasks, including sound effects, ambient sounds, and music editing.
- Implement feedback and revisions accurately and promptly.
- Work with music stems to re-edit, enhance, and modify audio to fit visual content.
- Participate in recording, editing, and mixing sessions under supervision.
- Assist in voiceover session setup, monitoring, and basic cleanup.
- Help manage sound libraries, file structures, and project documentation.
- Q.C. mixes before delivery to maintain technical and creative standards
Secondary Responsibilities
- Observe and shadow senior sound designers during creative and technical sessions.
- Assist in prototyping sound concepts, mockups, or references for internal or client presentations.
- Learn to adapt sound/mix for different markets, languages, or cultures.
- Continuously self-learn and stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks to support the project team and maintain studio equipment.
- Recommend tools, techniques, or workflows that improve efficiency and quality.
Required Skills & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Music, Audio, Sound, or related fields
- Portfolio showcasing relevant projects
- Good communication and time management skills
- Must know software: Ableton Live
- Good to know softwares: iZotope Ozone, Youlean Loudness Meter
