Who We Are
Overkill is a video production company behind Overkill SG, a multi-content lifestyle YouTube channel featuring food, travel, home, and personality-driven videos. We produce high-quality, story-first content and work with a wide range of brands and creators. We’re looking for a proactive and creative Social Media Intern to join our in-house team, focusing specifically on home renovation and interior design content.
What You Will Do
1. Content Production & Creative
Assist in brainstorming and developing content ideas for home renovation, interior design, and house tour videos.
Support the team in planning storylines and episode angles aligned with Overkill’s brand voice, visual style, and storytelling standards.
Research relevant trends and references to help improve and evolve the content direction.
2. Project Coordination
Support the team in managing production timelines from concept to delivery.
Assist in coordinating multiple projects, schedules, and shoot requirements.
Help with cross-team workflows involving design, social, talent, operations, and post-production teams to ensure alignment.
3. Client & Homeowner Communication
Assist in liaising professionally with homeowners, interior designers, and brand partners throughout the production journey.
Help ensure expectations are aligned, updates are clearly communicated, and deliverables are tracked.
Support the team in managing approvals and feedback rounds while maintaining a positive and solutions-oriented approach.
4. Brand Partnerships & Pitching Support
Research potential brand partners suitable for the home renovation and interior design series.
Assist in preparing pitch decks, proposal angles, and brand integration ideas.
Support the team in exploring sponsorships, integrations, and product placement opportunities.
Work closely with internal teams to help execute brand collaborations smoothly.
5. Production Support (Pre- to Post-Production)
Pre-Production
Assist with communication with homeowners and designers, including briefing, scheduling, recces, and approvals.
Support the preparation of shot lists, scripts, production notes, and filming requirements.
Join on-site recces to assess space, lighting, and filming logistics.
On-Set Production
Support the producer and crew during shoots.
Assist with directing homeowners/hosts on camera where needed, guiding shoot flow, and keeping track of key shots.
Help troubleshoot on-set requirements while maintaining production quality.
Post-Production
Assist in reviewing edits and providing feedback under the guidance of the producer.
Work closely with editors to refine pacing, visual flow, music, subtitles, and graphics.
Support with basic editing tasks where required.
Requirements:
A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and interest in growing with the team.
Interest in video production, content creation, interior design, home renovation, architecture, or lifestyle content.
Organised and responsible, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with teammates, homeowners, clients, and brand partners.
Comfortable being on set and working in a fast-paced production environment.
Basic editing proficiency, such as CapCut, is a plus.
Prior experience in video production, content creation, school projects, or internships is a bonus, but not required.
